How do I send a message? (mobile)

Sending text messages from the MyRepChat mobile app.

Start a new conversation

Follow these steps to create a new message thread.

1. Open the MyRepChat mobile app.

2. On the Messages tab, tap the Messages 🗩 + icon located in the lower right corner to create a new message.

   

3. The New Message screen will open with a To field at the top. Tap in the To field and begin typing the contact’s name or phone number. 

   

4. As you type, matching contacts will appear in the search results; tap a contact or number to add them as the recipient. 
   • You can add up to 9 recipients when sending a group text message if you have access to Group Texting. 
5. Gain Consent: Depending on your broker/dealer and compliance settings, if the number you have selected has not yet consented to messaging, you will be prompted to send the consent message before proceeding. 
6. Tap Type message to begin composing your text.

   • Tap the + icon next to Type message to attach photos, recent media, documents, content, templates, bookmarks, or your vCard to the text message. You can also schedule your text from here. 

     

7. Once you’re done composing your message, tap the paper airplane icon to send your text! 

   

How do I attach a photo or video?

1. Compose a new message or reply to an existing text conversation.

2. At the bottom left of the screen, tap the + symbol.

   

3. This will show your available attachment options.
   • When doing this for the first time, you will see a pop-up to grant access to your media library.
4. Photos and videos will appear in gallery format. Tap the one you want to attach to your message.
   • Note: You can only send one photo or video at a time, and you can include text with it.
