How do I Send a Text Message? (Desktop)

There are two options for sending text messages on MyRepChat, to learn these different methods, please follow the instructions below: 

Option 1:

1. In the menu on the left side of your "Dashboard," click "Messages"
   
   
   
   
2. Click the "+Message" button found above the list of existing conversations next to the "Filter by Contact Name" field
   
   
   
   
3. Type the name of the contact that you want to send a text message into the "Search Bar" and click the "Search" button
   
   
   
   
4. In the search results, find and click on the correct contact
   
   
5. If you have not received consent from this client to receive text messages, you will receive a pop up message that states "Consent Required This contact has not accepted the required consent message. This message cannot be changed. Click send button to send the required consent message." Click the "Okay" button on the pop-up window.
   
   
6. Click the "Paper Airplane Icon" to send the consent message
   
   
   
   
7. The message will then send, and populate into the message history.
   
   

Option 2:

1. In the menu on the left side of your "Dashboard," click "Contacts"
   
   
   
   
2. In the "Contacts Page", begin typing in the "Search Bar" on the upper right corner of the page to search for the desired contact
   
   
   
   
3. Once the desired contact appears, click the "Text Bubble Icon" on the far right of the contact
   
   
   
   
4. You will then receive a "Consent Required" pop-up, click "Okay" in the bottom right of the pop-up message
   
   
   
   
5. Click the "Paper Airplane Icon" in the bottom right of the message field to send the consent message
   
   
   
   
6. The message will then appear in the message history
