What is "Message History," and How do I Change It? (Desktop)

What is "Message History?"

Message history refers to the duration of time that your messages are retained in your MyRepChat account before being permanently deleted. 

Notes: 

• Important Information: Some Broker Dealer/Groups may have this setting configured at the group level, restricting your ability to make changes. 
• By default the duration is set to 90 days, the maximum limit for this would be 120 days. 

Steps to Change Your Message History:

1. In the menu on the left side of your "Dashboard," click "Settings"
   
   
   
   
2. Locate the "Preferences" section of the "Settings" page
   
   
   
   
3. Click on "Message History" 
   
   
   
   
4. Type your desired number of days in the text field
   
   
   
   
5. Click "Save" to save the new duration settings
