How do I send a message to a Distribution List? (Mobile)

⚠️ Please note that the new Myrepchat mobile app does not support sending messages to Distribution Lists yet. We are developing a separate update to enable this functionality. In the interim, please use the Myrepchat Web App to send messages to Distribution Lists.  

Distribution Lists let you send a message to multiple contacts at once, but they are not group texts, and replies will be logged separately for each contact. These lists cannot be created or managed in the MyRepChat mobile app. To create or manage a Distribution List, please use the MyRepChat web app. Once a Distribution List has been set up in the web app, you can send messages to it from the mobile app using the steps below.

Send a message to a Distribution List

1. Open the MyRepChat mobile app and tap the Messages tab.

2. Tap the Messages icon in the lower right corner to start a new message.

   

3. In the To field, search for the name of your Distribution List and select it.

   

4. Compose your message in the text field.
5. Tap the paper airplane icon to send.

Note: If any contact in a Distribution List has not consented to receive messages, their number may be flagged. Depending on your compliance settings, you may be prompted to send a consent request before the message is sent.
