When you signup for MyRepChat you will go through the following process.
When you request to use MyRepChat you from ionlake, you will be immediately brought to the signup form. If you already have a group administrator using MyRepChat, they can send you the signup link for your group.
This is the first part of the signup process. Items with at asterisk beside it are required.
Click Next to Continue.
You will now be prompted to select a new number or use your existing landline.
Selecting a New Number
When you select "Choose a new number" from the list of options the following box will appear.
Enter the area code you would like to use in the Area Code box and click Search.
A list of 30 options will appear for you to choose from. If you don't like one you can click Search again and it will populate a new list.
Once you have selected a number that you like, a dialogue box will appear confirming that you would like to use this number. Once this number is selected it can't be changed.
When you log in to your account, your MyRepChat number will always be available for reference in the upper right hand corner near the Logout button.
Using an Existing Landline
Choose the "Enable a Landline Number" option from the dropdown menu.
You will now be prompted to enter in your complete landline number.
Once you click the Check button you will either get a negative or positive response to if we think we can move forward with the landline.
You will be prompted to enter the information for who the landline belongs too. Click "Continue" when you are done.
Next you will be prompted to initiate a call to the landline number. When you do this a verification code will appear in the signup page. You will be prompted to enter this code using your phone's keypad when you receive the authentication call.
NOTE: This is a sample code. Not the one you will use during your call.
Once you have completed the verification call you will then need to sign a Letter of Authorization (LOA) you will be able to automatically send this to yourself from the signup page once you have completed the verification process.
After the LOA has been signed your number will go into carrier processing, meaning we work with your carrier to get your landline text enabled. This process is typically done within a day, but can take up to 14 days.
Once this process is done, we will let you know that your account is now set up with its number and ready to be used for texting.
