A group message allows you to send multiple contacts the same message without having all of your contacts be in a grouped text - giving their number security. Here is an example:
If you send a group text message to 50 people, the system will send 50 individual messages, one to each person in the group, rather than an actual group message. This way, the people in the group cannot see who is in the group, and responses only go back to the sender, not to everyone.
To create and send a group message do the following:
- From the messages tab, click on 'Compose Message' at bottom.
- You will now be able to search for a group or to pull over from your CRM or tap on an existing group.
- The next screen is where you type your message and tap the little paper airplane to Send.
*Note: Some employers may decide to limit the size of a group message. Check with your administrator for any group size restrictions.
